C'era Una Volta in Wooster Square

C'era una volta...
This means "Once Upon a Time.
In a place called Wooster Square. Ascolta.
Che Bello, such a lovely place for this rhyme.
C’era Una Volta in Wooster Square is a collection of watercolors depicting all of the iconic sites in Wooster Square, including Pepe’s, Sally’s, Zeneli’s, Lucibello’s, Libby’s, St. Michael’s, the Cherry Blossoms, and more, by local artist and book illustrator Stefania Munzi. It’s an homage to the beauty of this historic neighborhood, the experience of Italian-American immigrants, the pizza, pastries, and other delicious food that make New Haven a unique city.
What is everyone saying about "C'era Una Volta in Wooster Square"?

“C’era Una Volta in Wooster Square is a beautiful book and a great read. Made me hungry for a slice of pizza and a cannoli from Pepe’s"

"Stefania’s book is a beautiful tribute to Wooster Square and the people and places that make it so special. She draws our community as I know it—full of warmth, light, and deep Italian roots!”"
“Wooster Square represents so many things that make our city special: a rich history and character, amazing architecture and buildings, world-class restaurants and food, and strong community bonds that bind us together—like those demonstrated in the legacy of our city’s Italian American immigrants. Stefania Munzi captures so much of this with her artistry and clever rhymes.”
— The Honorable Justin Elicker, Mayor of
New Haven
This book is just absolutely delightful in how it can bring back memories for anyone who remembers the Wooster Square neighborhoods from a bygone era and educational for those who are just learning about the history behind Wooster Square and the hope for the future that it holds for everyone as well”
— Marc-Anthony Massaro, Sculptor “Indicando la via al Futuro”
